Pakistan Theatre Festival 2023, presented by Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi will showcase play Insha Ka Intezaar.

Insha Ka Intezaar - Tragic Comedy

This play starkly portrays Pakistan's current dire state and its gradual descent into a burdensome wasteland where basic rights have eroded. The characters, Zulekha and Karmu, reflect this hopelessness in their absurd conversations while waiting for someone they'll never meet. Their relationship provides a semblance of sanity and prevents them from ending their lives. Amid discussions about their existence, they ponder apologizing to their oppressors, despite not understanding why they suffer. The enigmatic Insha looms, hinted at through political allusions.
